Corrigan Volunteers Support for the Flint Water Crisis
Over the last several weeks, Corrigan has stepped up to assist our friends in Flint during this challenging time. Being a local Michigan business with an office in Flint, this issue it is not only important, but personal for us. Our Flint office as well as Ann Arbor, Auburn Hills, Grand Rapids and Rochester, NY have all stepped up to partner with local organizations to help get water to Flint.
We worked with the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority in Flint, whom raised funds to purchase drinking water from a local Walmart. Corrigan provided two tractor trailers and two drivers to pick up the water and transport it to the Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel in Flint.
We also provided Flint’s Whaley Children’s Center a truck to store the donations of water they have received for the children residing there. Whaley Children’s Center is a residential center for kids 5-17 who have suffered extreme abuse or neglect. We were beyond proud to help serve such an amazing organization!
Corrigan transported water donated by the Eastern Michigan University family to Flint’s Brennan Senior Center and the American Red Cross of Genesee County.
In partnership with Max Broock Realtors of Birmingham and Temple Shir Shalom, a Corrigan truck delivered over 20 tons of water to the residents of Flint. Thanks to all the donations by parishioners, 38,400 bottles of water were donated.
Corrigan trucks assisted with the delivery of 17,000 bottles of water which were donated by the Light House Full Life Center Church and delivered to the Church of Harvest in Flint.
18 inches of snow could not stop our trucks from delivering water to the Catholic Charities Center for Hope in Flint all the way from Rochester, NY. In partnership with Radio 95.1 & Metro Mattress, water was collected and delivered to our friends in Flint.
We are honored to have been a part of this movement and look forward to additional opportunities to serve in the efforts to help those in need.
